Our Technology

At PrintedSUN, we are redefining how light is created, applied, and experienced. By combining advanced chemistry, materials science, and sustainable manufacturing, we develop next-generation printed Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs).

Our OLEDs are lightweight, flexible, and energy-efficient light sources that can be seamlessly integrated into healthcare, consumer products, textiles, and beyond.

From Ink to Light

Our journey starts at the molecular level. We design and formulate specialized light-emitting inks and powders that serve as the foundation. Each formulation is engineered for high performance, long-term stability, and environmental responsibility.

Precision Coating

Instead of traditional vacuum-based methods, we use roll-to-roll (scalable) printing techniques to deposit uniform layers of our materials across large surfaces. This approach is:

Scalable

Suited for industrial roll-to-roll manufacturing

Efficient

Reduces complexity and lowers production costs

Sustainable

Minimizes material waste and energy use

Building Layer
by Layer

Our OLEDs are constructed through a multi-layer architecture, where each printed layer performs a unique function—from charge transport to light emission. Together, these layers convert electricity into bright, efficient, and flexible light that can be tailored for specific applications.

Testing for Performance

Every PrintedSUN device undergoes rigorous testing for brightness, durability, flexibility, efficiency, and safety. This ensures our technology consistently meets the standards required for both consumer adoption and clinical applications.

Sustainability at the Core

Sustainability is not an afterthought—it is built into our technology. By replacing resource-intensive fabrication with printing and coating, we:

  • Reduce our carbon footprint

  • Lower material waste

  • Enable a circular and environmentally conscious innovation pathway for the future of light
